Saw your car while @ Dave's last week.

I saw only the underside both times I was there it was up in the air.

My Vette was there & after picking up my Vette I left my wife's art car Miata there. When I got it for her to paint I did not realize it had no AC, it had been removed. I asked Dave to keep an eye out for an AC unit. He said if I was in no rush he was sure to find one eventually in a parts car. Sure enough he called the other day, took AC unit out of a parts car. Installed it and now my wife has AC for the few times she got the top up

I hope he didn't find too much rust ;) If it isn't bad, I plan to put a 1.8 JDM motor in it (after the season is over). It too is supposed to be my wife Judit's summer car. As we both work @ Rutgers, it is a low mileage commute.

How will you clear coat the "Maxian" artwork?

Yes you are fortunate to live so close to Dave. It's a real hike for me but so worth the trip.

I travel to Pemberton and Chatsworth for Rutgers... It's a hike for you!

Picked up my car this week (in time for rain ;) ) from Dave. Some of the suspension bolts and ball joints has to be cut out. Dave got everything back together and aligned. New stock height springs (sourced from www.mx5parts.co.uk and UK made) raised the ride height a bit until they settle in. Steering is much crisper, but I found out that the tires are date-coded 2008, and the brake rotors are marginal due to sitting. I acquired a set of steel wheels and will put new tires on those while I figure out how to have the alloys refinished. I am also adding a front shock tower brace and Delrin door bushings to try and chase away some of the cowl shake.

BTW- Dave has a shell he plans to build into another Spec Miata...
