Serving Miata Owners in the Delaware Valley Region
Join Anne and I on a run to Jim Thorpe. This year the run will feature the colors of fall to enhance this already amazing tour. The run ends at Roadies restaurant on top of Penn’s peak with a 50 mile panoramic view of the Pocono Mountains. Since Jim Thorpe is such an interesting place to visit I decided not to reserve tables for lunch. This will give you the opportunity to go directly to Jim Thorpe for lunch at the end of the ride or stay at Roadies for lunch. The restaurant has a large patio and indoor seating so if you decide to eat at Roadies there will be plenty of seats available to sit as a group. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Whatever you decide to do you must see the fantastic view.
We will be making a big circle around Allentown on scenic rural back roads. After the rest stop we will be crossing through 6 covered bridges. This part of the trip will be a mix of very rural back roads through river cut gorges and secondary roads, since there are few roads that go west through the mountains.
Jim Thorpe is a go to destination. It has a very rich history and historic 19th century architecture including a jail and opera house. I am looking forward to riding on the Lehigh Gorge scenic railroad.
Join us; I think you’ll love it!
